Secure Open Source Messaging for the Public Sector
Matthew Hodgson, Viktoria Grzymek
Matthew is co-founder of Element and CEO/CTO, responsible for the technical direction and vision of the company. Matthew is also the technical co-founder of Matrix and a Guardian of The Matrix.org Foundation, the open source project that publishes the Matrix open standard for secure, decentralised, real-time communication. He has a degree in Computer Science and Physics from the University of Cambridge.
Viktoria Grzymek is Associate at PUBLIC, a European ecosystem firm for Government Technology (GovTech). At PUBLIC she works with both GovTech startups and various public sector organisations – with the aim of bringing these two worlds together in order to jointly create and implement meaningful digital solutions. Prior to joining PUBLIC, Viktoria was project manager at Bertelsmann Stiftung. She also previously dealt with digital policy issues at public affairs consultancies, in the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and in the European Parliament. She holds a Master of Public Policy from the Hertie School in Berlin.
